The Gigaset DESK 200 combines the most important telephony functions with a particularly slim and compact design. It is therefore suitable as a space-saving desk phone or can be quickly and easily mounted on the wall. Its coiled cable provides freedom of movement when making calls. The Gigaset DESK 200 can be connected to a landline or used as part of an internal telephone network at home or in the office.
Powered via the telephone line

The Gigaset DESK 200 does not require a separate power adapter; it is powered directly via the telephone line. Setup is therefore particularly simple: Connect the Gigaset DESK 200 to the telephone socket (public network, PBX, or gateway) – and the phone is ready to use.
Visual and audible call notification

The melody and volume of the Gigaset DESK 200 can be easily adjusted. You can select three different melodies, each with three different volume levels. In addition, the visual call notification via the LED on the handset helps ensure you don't miss a call, even in particularly noisy environments. If you prefer peace and quiet, the ringtone can also be turned off. Incoming calls are then only indicated visually.
Connected quickly

Up to ten phone numbers can be saved as speed dials, allowing you to quickly connect with the people you speak with frequently. The included paper insert stores the speed dial numbers and keeps them handy at all times. The practical redial function lets you instantly resume your last call with the touch of a button. Need to speak to someone in the room and don't want the person on the other end of the line to hear you? Hold the call and press the mute button. This prevents anyone on the phone from hearing you. Another important feature for anyone with hearing impairment: The Gigaset DESK 200 is hearing aid compatible.
Dialing Methods

The DESK 200 is suitable for connection to both landlines and PBXs. It supports both common dialing methods (pulse dialing (PDD) and dual-tone multifrequency dialing (DTMF)), thus offering maximum flexibility for analog telephone connections. Depending on the PBX, the dialing method or the phone's flash time may need to be changed. A slide switch on the handset of the DESK 200 allows for easy selection of the desired dialing method.
