        This printer features an integrated cutter that cuts the print material after printing. Using continuous label or receipt rolls, you can create custom-length print products.

        Thermal transfer printing: durable, customized print products

        This printer uses the thermal transfer process. The ink from a separate ribbon is fused to the label paper, where the heat bonds firmly and permanently to the media. This allows you to produce long-lasting, durable print products. The use of additional consumables makes handling somewhat more complex than with direct thermal printers, and results in more waste. However, the ability to use different ribbons gives you more freedom in designing your labels. This printing process is recommended for applications where durability is more important than cost—for example, long-term labeling such as product or food labels, as well as equipment and quality control markings.
