The Kingston KC600 is a high-capacity SSD offering outstanding performance and optimized for extremely fast system performance with boot, load, and transfer times. It is available in both 2.5-inch and mSATA form factors using the SATA Rev. 3.0 interface with backward compatibility. The KC600 utilizes cutting-edge 3D TLC NAND technology and supports all essential security features, including AES 256-bit hardware encryption, TCG Opal, and eDrive. It offers read/write speeds of up to 550/520 MB/s for efficient data storage up to 2 TB. It is available in a bundle kit that provides everything you need for a hassle-free desktop and notebook installation or upgrade.
mSATA SSDs are small, caseless SSDs that plug directly into the motherboard. They are typically used for SSD caching, but can also be used like regular SSDs. In tight spaces, mSATA may be the only way to fit an SSD into a system. A prime example of this is Ultrabooks, as they are, by definition, among the slimmest devices.
This SSD utilizes advanced 3D NAND flash memory technology. The vertical arrangement of the memory cells overcomes previous density limitations—typical of NAND storage media with a flat cell structure—and stores even more data per memory cell. This makes the SSD faster, more durable, and significantly more energy-efficient.
M.2 SSDs are installed via the M.2 socket on the motherboard. Data is transferred via SATA III, making their compact size a key advantage. Due to their compact dimensions, M.2 SSDs are particularly suitable for use in ultrabooks and mini PCs, but can also be used in regular computers.
